A very successful Good Food – Intro to Plant-Based Eating workshop was held on Gabriola Island on October 25, 2015. Participants had various reasons for attending, including health, environmental, as well as animal welfare concerns. With lots of information (including questions answered by a registered holistic nutritionist), five food preparation demos, as well as tasting of all the items made, it was a very full and fun afternoon. The food preparation demos consisted of a Classic Green Monster Smoothie, Tomato Herb Flax Seed Crackers, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Regal Red Lentil Soup, and Vegan Daz Nice Cream. All these were made from scratch using whole food plant based ingredients.
